This term paper critically analyzed the digitization standards of library information sharing, focusing on the issues created by digital metadata standards and their impact on data interoperability. The assignment earned either a B or an A grade and was a significant eye-opener regarding electronic sharing and storage, as well as information dissemination. The discussion on acting ethics and the challenges posed by standardization made this assignment relevant to Competency 1, which highlights the ethics of being an information provider.
